timeline
finally got around to getting the timeline in
still a little raw
and buggy
but its back
and it works
went through a couple of different jquery revisions to get it right
but overall
i think its a nice edition
just need to replace those stupid blue buttons
temporary stock outages
it seems i lost an entire box of a permanent solution during the move
they somewhere buried deep under the wasteland that is storage
i hate moving
maybe i should add a page that shows everything thats “in stock”
New site launch
this relaunch has been a long time coming.
I’ve been talking about it for a little over a year
granted I’m not 100% finished with it
but its close enough to unveil it
and have the tires kicked
I’ve still got a couple of things to refine
usability
shipping
pricing
status
a couple of glaring IE7 bugs (probably even more IE6 bugs)
but like most things
first and foremost
it looks great and functions perfectly in Firefox3
That said
during the course of this relaunch/redesign
I changed my mind a few times
jumped from textpattern
to cubcart
then to wordpress briefly
and ultimately back to textpattern
so
the markup is a mess
and the css is a tangled jumble legacy comments and classes
but
it works for the time being
feel free to report bugs when (not if) you find them
Thanks
// place gun to head
look who joined the party
i could not be happier to have a wavestation
its been the holy grail of gear for me for years
ive watched them on ebay for the last two years
and finally picked one up
and can i just say
that NOTHING sounds as good as the real thing
the plugin is fair
but weak in comparison to how this thing sounds
and
i can run the thumb piano through it
which means that now all 10 of my inputs on the back of my delta 1010 are occupied
can i just say
omg look at the thing i have to use to edit and send patches back and forth to the wavestation….
1998 called and wants UI back….
things to consider [1]
so
now that proem is officially ten years old
I’ve been thinking a great deal about where to go next
those of you that read this regularly will note
I’ve been a little a more than unsatisfied with music in general… wanting to claw my way out of the box I’ve put myself in over the years and not being even able to get off the couch or away from work long enough to do anything about it
which brings me to the conclusion that perhaps I should extend proem to a branding device for all of my creative output…
there is a quote that has floated around my subconscious for more than I care to admit
“when marriage is illegal only outlaws will have inlaws”
in this case when the world goes intangible the rebels go tangible to an extreme…
I have never been one for conventions despite what my musical output may say otherwise. I intend to become an outlaw and marry my loves together under one roof
worst case
I put them in the same room and they kill each other until one is left standing alone in that room to eventually wither and die
what does all this mean for those loyal consumers of proem music…
more tangible artifacts of my time alive on this slowly boiling ball of dirt we call earth
mostly,…
art.
real
hang on the wall
match your couch
one of a kind works,
or in the form of limited prints and posters
in the time between
expect to see a few things change around here as I soak in this stew and try to coalesce and mold a defined plan of attack and roll out schedule
of which I think will include a redesign of placeguntohead to match proemland.com a bit more
on a related note
anyone currently using zazzle.com for anything?
i’m curious about the quality
i’ve gone so far as to examine their pricing structure and even dive a bit into their api
with hope
I take the risk that I’m too self involved to realize my own bad ideas
thoughts on the subject are appreciated
